We are pleased to announce that Petrel SoloStorm has officially entered into Beta testing!

We would like to thank our Alpha testers for their feedback and patience. Over the last few months, SoloStorm has undergone many changes and has been continuously refined. We believe that the results speak for themselves – delivering a product that is intuitive, simple to use, and yet very powerful.

If you are looking for detailed information about SoloStorm’s capabilities, check out the documentation that is now online:

We have contacted registered Beta participants, and are eagerly awaiting their feedback.

In the meantime, we will begin work on a few additional features, as well as research developing a product for road racers – so stay tuned!

It is working. Hoping for a track map overlay for multiple runs on top of each other please. Prettt please!

I second FastMike’s comment. Overlay of data is great, and appears to be working in the version I have. I am having issues exporting video with the data overlaid though, as the process continues to hang (1 out of 5 has worked). Also on playback I do not see the video… not sure how to fix that.

The 2nd Beta version should fix that issue for you Rich. Let us know how it goes. Double video noted as a future feature.

Beta V2 did fix the processing of overlaid videos… runs to completion, but I can’t seem to find the file. I doesn’t appear in the petrel/video folder where the files originate, and I can’t find it via my computer either… so not sure where the file went to. 🙁

Program is working great. Any chance of using BlueStacks to process the video on a computer so it’s quicker?

You should be able to find the file in the same folder as the original. Android file systems are messed up especially over usb. If you can’t find a file that should be there, try rebooting the phone. These things try to magically sync the internal file system with the sd card and present one unified view – which is extremely buggy.
