Our ultimate goal is pretty simple: we just want you to be happy with your purchase.

That said, there are times when a refund or a change to an order are required. These are our policies regarding these situations.

Subscription Services

Subscriptions may be cancelled, upgraded, or downgraded at any time.

Subscriptions are non-refundable, and are not prorated when downgraded or cancelled. Subscription upgrades are prorated based on the next payment due date.

Subscriptions payments are automated and are charged at the specified billing interval.

Subscription prices are subject to change, and will be communicated via email. Increased prices will be charged at the next billing interval.

Software Purchased by Individuals

If for some reason you are not happy with your software purchase, we offer a 14-day 100% refund policy, no questions asked, but if you can tell us why you were not happy with your purchase, it would be very appreciated. We’re pretty sure you will love it though, otherwise we wouldn’t be selling it.

Software Purchased by Organizations

Purchases by business, schools, and organizations are subject to the licensing terms in the purchase or lease contract.

Hardware Purchases

Sales of hardware carry a one year warranty covering manufacturing defects, however all hardware sales are final since we are not set up to process returns in a cost-effective manner. All prices are in US dollars.

Order Cancellation

You can request than an order be cancelled by emailing support. We will attempt to cancel your order prior to shipping by our fulfillment centre, but we can not guarantee that it will be possible.

Please note that of June 1, 2020 all cancelled orders are subject to a 4% credit card processing fee which is charged to us by our merchant service provider. They will not refund this fee to us.

Legal Stuff

If you didn’t already know this, racing is dangerous! If you get hurt, or hurt someone else, or damage anything, it’s not our fault. When racing, pay attention to the course and not your cell phone or tablet. By using our products and services, you agree not to hold Petrel Data Systems, its owners, employees, contractors, or agents accountable for any loss, damage, or injury.
